2021 & 2022 Chrysler Pacifica: Everything You Need To Know
Posted on February 4, 2022
Who said you cannot have it all? Performance, luxury, comfort, safety, and power - there is no need to compromise when you’re purchasing a 2021/2022 Chrysler Pacifica.
We’ve said it before (and you’ll probably hear us say it again - because we’re very proud), a lot has changed since Chrysler invented the minivan segment over 40 years ago. The one thing that has and will always remain the same is you cannot beat the minivan when it comes to features custom-designed with your family in mind, especially those glorious doors.
In the following article we’re going to review the 2021 & 2022 Chrysler Pacifica so you can learn why it’s considered the most innovative vehicle in its class. (based on the latest available competitive information for minivans in the WardsAuto Small Van segment. Based on standard and available features. Excludes other vehicles designed and manufactured by FCA US LLC.) and decide which trim is best for you and your family.
Fresh off a mid-cycle update from 2021, the 2022 Chrysler Pacifica only has minor differences from the 2021 model year, so we are combining the two in the article below for your research benefit.
The Chrysler Pacifica from top to bottom, inside and out was curated for your family’s safety, fun and convenience - it truly is the best car for a large family.
In 2021 the Chrysler Pacifica underwent some major changes to, dare we say, make it sexier.
The exterior was tweaked to give it more of an SUV appearance and the entertainment system was given a serious upgrade. Don’t worry, the 2021 & 2022 Chrysler Pacifica continues to deliver on all those features a minivan shopper is sure to love: cubbies and cupholders galore, slide-out bins and seats that fold into the floor.
In addition to satisfying the minivan crowd, the Pacifica has another trick up its sleeve to entice the typical SUV shopper. One of the most desirable features offered in the 2021 & 2022 Chrysler Pacifica is the option on any trim level to upgrade to All-Wheel-Drive (AWD) (Front-Wheel-Drive (FWD) comes standard). A rare option when you compare the Chrysler Pacifica to other minivans that certainly comes in handy on those snowy winter days. We know this is just one more reason this is the best car for a large family because we have many buyers looking at the Chrysler Pacifica for sale here at CarHub because of this feature.
To ensure just the right amount of options, Chrysler has 5 trim levels for you to choose from and an impressive starting point. Check out the standard features below before we dive into the trim level comparison:
For a vehicle like the Pacifica, calling them “standard” features is practically an oxy-moron - this vehicle is exceptional even in its basic form. You and your family are considered first and foremost and this is reflected in the safety, practicality, performance and fun!
All 2021 & 2022 Chrysler Pacifica options have the 3.6L Pentastar VVT V6 engine with Stop/Start and a 9-Speed automatic transmission under the hood. The Pacifica fuel economy is impressive, getting 8.4L/100km on the highway and 12.4L/100km in the city.
For your entertainment, the Pacifica comes equipped with a 10.1 inch Touch Screen with Uconnect 5 Multimedia Centre with Amazon Alexa integration and compatible with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay through wireless connection. One of the few differences added in 2022 is Amazon Fire TV is now a standard feature in the Pacifica.
LED headlamps, fog lamps and taillamps look great and help you see and be seen. Automated emergency braking with pedestrian detection, blind-spot monitoring with rear cross-traffic alert and adaptive cruise control and lane-departure warning features are all included.
Did we mention the vehicle also has Stow ‘n Go second-row bucket seats, Stow ‘n Go third-row seating, AND rain-sensing wipers!
