2021 Jeep Grand Cherokee- Everything You Should Know

2021 Jeep Grand Cherokee

For anyone who is pursuing adventure and looking for a fresh new escape this year, the 2021 Jeep Grand Cherokee is a powerful, steady and free-spirited vehicle that will take you far away from the city limits. As a family-friendly SUV which can comfortably seat the kids (plus the dog, and all your gear for a weekend trip!), the Jeep Grand Cherokee is renowned for its luxurious features. With 4x4 capability, the beloved Grand Cherokee offers a premium experience, safety and comfort.

BNN Bloomberg announced in April 2021 that while American brand vehicles have traditionally not sold well in Japan, Jeep is becoming a very popular brand for younger buyers. One buyer, Tsubasa Imai, was quoted in the article - “I like outdoor activities and I was looking for a car that has high horsepower and can carry a lot of baggage,” the 24-year-old said. There also aren’t too many cars in Japan that can tow a boat as well as look cool", he said.

At CarHub Automotive Group, we are proud to carry the Grand Cherokee and are excited to sell the latest 2021 models. Just in time for your new family car purchase this year, have a look at some perks of the Grand Cherokee.

Fuel Economy:

According to Car and Driver, the fuel economy of the four-cylinder version is 23 mpg for city driving and 31 mpg for highways. This translates to 9.78 km/L (city) and 13.18 km/L (highways).

Design:

Take a quick glimpse at the design of the new Jeep Grand Cherokee, and your eyes will be treated to aluminum or crystal granite aluminum wheels, along with a beautiful sunroof and plenty of cargo space. Popular in the car world, this aesthetic is a simple, classic and iconic square design which is boxy. In fact, this Jeep Grand Cherokee design has inspired all SUV designs on the market. Back when the older Jeep Grand Cherokees were on the market, they competed only with Land Rover. With no other manufacturers producing SUVS, the Grand Cherokee won numerous awards for design.

Performance:

Ready for a powerful drive which is also safe and perfectly secure for the family? You’ll likely be more than pleased with the 2021 Jeep Grand Cherokee. The newest iteration of this iconic SUV features four different 4x4 systems to choose from, which include the Quadra-Trac I®, Quadra-Trac II®, Quadra-Drive® II and Quadra-Trac® SRT® options. You also won’t need to worry about navigating through various types of terrain, as the drive modes range from Snow (perfect for our wintry Canadian climate) to Sand, Auto, Mud and Rock settings. All these modes are included in the Selec-Terrain® Traction Management System, which is responsible for adapting traction performance.

Interior:

The 2021 Jeep Grand Cherokee boasts an upscale interior, with upholstered or leather-trimmed seats. Meanwhile, the additional cargo space can accommodate up to 1,934 litres. For comfortable seating, 60/40 split-folding rear seats offer a cozy space. If you’re in the driver’s seat, you’ll be pleased with the heated steering wheel, while heated front seats, a power liftgate and remote start make for a comfortable journey. The Summit comes with an acoustic windshield for a quiet ride, along with numerous leather packages for the interiors that offer nappa leather and suede interiors.

Safety:

As many households use the 2021 Jeep Grand Cherokee as their family car, safety and security are definitely top priorities. Fortunately, this high-tech, contemporary SUV comes equipped with Parallel and Perpendicular Park Assist, which are revolutionary tech components that help to control steering and utilize ultrasonic sensors for an easy parking experience. If you have any fears about reversing, the Park-Sense® Rear Park Assist offers the same technologically guided helping hand, while the ParkView® Rear Back-Up Camera gives you a digitally aided glance at your rearview. Of course, features such as Adaptive Cruise Control and Front Collision Warning offer enhanced security while out on the roads.

Towing Capacity:

If you are planning to tow a camper van or trailer as you escape into the countryside for a weekend, the 2021 Jeep Grand Cherokee is perfect. It boasts a towing capacity of up to 7,200 lb, which makes it ideal for heavy duty towing. If you go for the Trailer Tow Group IV, you’ll be driving away with perks like heavy-duty engine cooling and rear load-levelling suspension.

Engine:

While this may be a kid-friendly ride, the Jeep Grand Cherokee is still the coolest kid on the block when it comes to speed and power. The engine options for various trim levels of the 2021 Grand Cherokee include the 3.6L Pentastar V6 Engine, the 5.7L HEMI V8 Engine, the 6.4L HEMI SRT V8 Engine and the extra powerful Supercharged 6.2L V8 Engine (which is not for the faint of heart!)
